Germantown, Maryland, June 1, 2011 – Network Specialty Group, Inc. was awarded a prime contract as a result of the USDA Forest Service Natural Resource Manager (NRM) Program Management Support Services solicitation. NRM has selected NSGI to assist its program management staff in the areas of project management, acquisition and contracting support, response to annual and ad hoc audit requests, and communications with NRM clients and stakeholders. NSGI will provide IT support services that entail gathering accounting, finance, and internal control data, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting it to NRM management. NSGI will also assist the NRM in monitoring project performance preparation of the annual OMB A-11 Exhibit 300 and development of business cases and related documentation preparation. USDA and Forest Service systems will be used to enter and monitor requisitions, contract information, and invoice payments with NRM management approvals. NSGI will assist in formulating responses to both annual and ad hoc audits including those mandated by OMB Circular A-123 and OMB Circular A-11, and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
This award was issued as a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of one base year plus four option years.

About - NRM is a national Forest Service organization that is responsible for coordinating software development activities for four Forest Service application groups. These applications often intersect in how they collect and share data and in how they develop software and use technology. NRM finds ways to manage and grow these applications efficiently, and has already begun to standardize the processes used to develop an integrated program of work. NRM also seeks effective ways to use resources to reduce duplication of effort and to maximize technology investments.
