FS Task Order for ePOSS EMV Chip and PIN Support Awarded to Network Specialty Group, Inc. (NSG)

(Gaithersburg, MD) Network Specialty Group, Inc. (NSG), located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is proud to announce that on Monday, September 1, 2015, the company was awarded a 1 million dollar Task Order under GSA STARS 2 contract by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service (FS), for the Electronic Point of Sales System (ePOSS) Eurocard, Mastercard, and Visa (EMV) chip and PIN Support.

The Financial Management Staff (FMS) is responsible for the development, maintenance and overall functionality of POSS. The system requires implementation of EMV chip & PIN technology to better serve the public at FS locations using integrated and stand-alone devices for payment card transactions. In addition, the FS seeks to offer mobile payment options (specifically, Apple Pay and Google Wallet) to enhance payment security and improve customer service. Contractor support is critical to the project that will result in NSG’s assistance and maintenance of a fully functioning system that will be compliant with EMV standards and mobile payment options at POSS locations throughout the Agency.
